S0 series optical solar film transmission meter
Solar film transmittance meter adopts
parallel light path design which is very suitable for optical properties testing of automotive films, explosion-proof films,
architectural films, thermal insulation films. It can measure UVR,IRR,VLT at the same time ,and S0 ProMax model also can measure SHGC,TSER,SIRR,SC.
The large-screen HD color screen display and deepened test slot, easy to use it.

The entire S0 series comes standard with two innovative functions: 1. Skincare film detection; 2. Electronic plasma ball for metal film identification. Showing the true value of every film.
Products Usage

GUOOU S0 Transmission Meter

portable transmission meter is a classic three-band solar film tester. Three test holes are used to test the visible light
transmittance, UV rejection rate and infrared rejection rate of the material. Simply place the tested material in the test slot
then we can read the three test data at the same time. It is mainly suitable for optical properties of various uniform and
transparent materials such as solar film, laminated glass and automobile side glass.

GUOOU S0promax Optical Transmission Meter

can measure eight parameters, including:UV rejection rate, visible light transmittance, infrared 950nm and infrared 1400nm rejection rates, all infrared rejection rate, SHGC , TSER, SC.
Other instruments can only measure three of these parameters,so there is a difference in price. Many customers will find it difficult to choose a three-band window tint meter,
because the solar film rejection is different when measuring with different infrared light sources. But if you use this
instrument, there is no such confusion, you can choose the middle gear to read the average of the two infrared rejection rates.

FAQ

1. how can we guarantee quality? Always a pre-production sample before mass production; Always final Inspection before shipment. 2. What about production lead time? Sample order takes about 1-3 days. for bulk order it takes about 7-15 days. 3. Can I brand this product with my logo? Yes, we can offer many kinds of branding service, such as screen printing, laser carving, embossing & debossing. 4.Can I request 1 or 2 sample for testing the quality? Yes, we are pleased to send you samples to test the quality. support mixed samples. 5. What is the use of testing TSER? How to calculate TSER? TSER (Total Solar Energy Rejection) represents how much solar heat the window film can block. TSER is not a single metric but a composite of three factors: (IRR × 53%) + (VLT × 44%) + (UVR × 3%). Each element plays a role: IRR — Infrared Rejection (controls heat) VLT — Visible Light Transmission (affects clarity) UVR — Ultraviolet Rejection (sun protection). TSER serves as a crucial reference value for ilm selection, but achieving a balance between heat rejection, light transmission, and protection is equally vital—this equilibrium ultimately determines the film's real-world performance.

6. Does the data from the instrument test match the data in the membrane catalog? Test results may not fully align with the data in the sample catalog. Firstly, the parameters listed in the catalog depend on the test wavelength band used by the solar film manufacturer's instrumentation. Secondly, the detection wavelength band of the Guoou solar film tester may differ from that of the manufacturer's equipment. Therefore, slight discrepancies between instrument-measured data and catalog values are normal. Third, different lighting conditions during measurement and varying states of the membrane (e.g., dust, fingerprints) can affect the readings. 7. What is the difference between 940nm and 1400nm instruments, and how should one choose? The readings differ between 1400nm and 940nm instruments because metal films and non-metal films behave very differently at these wavelengths. Metal films rely on “reflection” and typically perform better at higher-band infrared such as 1400nm, while non-metal films (like ceramic or nano films) reduce heat mainly through “absorption,” showing stronger performance around 940nm. Since these films respond differently to different IR energy bands, the measurement results from 940nm and 1400nm devices will naturally not be the same. 8.How can you evaluate the performance of a window film using a window film tester?     1. Visible Light Transmission (VLT): Determines brightness and clarity.     2. UV Rejection (UVR): ≥99% is excellent for UV protection and interior fading prevention.     3. Infrared Rejection (IRR) or TSER: Indicates heat-blocking ability; TSER is the most comprehensive.     4. Combine with real-world experience: Look at clarity, color quality, haze, and any signal interference.
